    If you look up a city on Wikipedia, there’s usually a “Geography” section where the record highs and lows for each month are listed.

    I’ve given you a link below to the National Oceanic site. It’s always given me the historical info that I’ve needed. Sometimes we were doing large enough projects that we purchased the data rather than having to key it all by hand. It depends on what you’re looking for. The Weather Channel also has good historical data, but it probably originated from noaa.gov. The records might not go back to the 1850’s, but I know it at least goes back to the 1880’s or 1890’s.

    Good luck finding the info you’re looking for.

    and use the Search Engin in the National Weather Service home page it’s located in upper right side of page
